In October 2006, the Parenthetical Girls starting forcing themselves to get into the holiday spirit. Why? In order to create the third installment of their bi-annual Christmas EP's.
"Do you think that sounds Christmassy?" was the question repeatedly contemplated during the hectic 3 weeks that ensued. The album was officially done the very day before their departure for a 3 week East Coast tour. Although the limited edition hand made CDR's are officially sold-out, Bucket Factory is now making this a (not so) exclusive online release, just in time for the Holidays.
"A Parenthetical Girls Family Christmas" is indeed a family affair, featuring contributions from original Swastika Girls members Jeremy Cooper (guitar, track 4) and Eric Scott Yates (glockenspiel, vocals - track 1) as well as newest members Matthew Carlson (who also recorded the EP), and Eddie Chriton. Clarinets were also provided by honorary ((GRRRL)) Jonathan Sielaff, in addition to P-girls mainstays Rachael Jensen and Zac Pennington.
All of us here at the Bucket Factory hope this release brings joy into the air of your home this season. Merry Christmas.
